BioTrib is pleased to announce the ‘Preclinical testing and simulation in shoulder replacements’ Symposium which will explore the assessments and wider context of shoulder replacements. Interventions of the shoulder are seen by many as the new frontier in arthroplasty where current outcomes are poor than those observed in knee and hip replacements. This higher failure rate is believed to arise from a range of interrelated factors including instability in the shoulder complex, rotator cuff damage as well as wear. To this end Healthcare, Academic and Industry Experts deliver keynote presentations from clinical drivers, through to experimental and in silico trials exploring the challenges faced when assessing new technologies in the shoulder. There are both opportunities to ask questions at the end of each session and at a more in-depth panel discussion at the end of the symposium.
